Hi! My name is Alicia. I have been in LOVE with art from my earliest memory.

I was born and raised in the state of Utah. As a high school student, I took AP Art and received the Sterling Scholar Award in Art for my high school. I went on to start my bachelor’s degree in drawing and painting from Utah State University. After many ups and downs and life changes, I eventually graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and a minor in Art. I taught special ed for a year while pregnant with my first baby. From there, my life took a hiatus away from work and art for a time while I supported my husband through medical school and raised my babies.

Three kiddos in school and a medical resident husband later, I am drawing again and learning everything I can about being an illustrator! I recently self-published my first illustrated book in March of 2025. Since then, I have participated and won a Make Art That Sells challenge and signed on with an illustration agency. Working with Mel at Illustrate It Agency has been transformative for me! I am constantly drawing now and developing art for all types of markets.

I began my foray into the art world working primarily with traditional mediums. In the past three years, I have come to love the flexibility and availability of digital art. I work primarily in Procreate using brushes that look and feel like traditional mediums. Some of the things I love to draw: flowers, birds, animals, portraits, and cute characters. I am constantly striving to be better by pushing myself to draw things that are new to me or trying new styles. I aim to be the best artist I can!

I am currently living in Upstate New York with my husband, three kids, and two cats.
